Digi travel
- Digi travel means that the passengers are digitally tested.
- This initiative of the Civil Aviation Ministry and Civil Aviation Security Bureau aims to reduce the paperwork during air travel.
- Under this, the e-boarding process will be adopted for entering the airport. Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has issued Civil Aviation Requirements (CAR) for the actions and requirements related to the implementation of e-boarding process (DG).
- According to the rules, the airline will make provision for collecting the travel travel ID of the passengers at the time of booking for domestic travel.
- According to the CAR, passengers can choose one of the options like passport, voter ID, base and M-base, PAN card, driver's license, state and central government and identity card issued by PSU and local body or public limited company.
